All-Stars FAQ

All-Stars is a mini soccer season that takes places after fall season (before spring season) in the competitive divisions (U10-U14). Each coach is responsible for nominating top players from their team to the Regional Coach Administrator (RCA). The RCA holds a meeting where coaches collaborate to create one All-Star team in each division/gender to represent Region 59 at the Area level. Participation is free (uniforms are provided by the region). All-Stars typically takes place during the month of January only. Games are played throughout Area 11E. The All-Star meeting takes place during October locally- coaches interested in coaching All-Stars are to notify their Division Coordinator who will make a decision based on certification, years of service, and peer recommendation. Final decision will be made collaboratively by Division Coordinator and Coach Administrator. 

What Divisions participate in the All-Star program?
  • All-Star teams are formed from participants in the Fall 10U, 12U and 14U divisions. 
When/where are All-Star games played?
  • All-Star matches are typically played in January
  • Matches will be held at various local Area 11E fields - depending on field permits and availability. (i.e. Garden Grove, Los Alamtios, Cypress, Cerritos, Whittier, La Habra, and Long Beach)
  • Champions from each division will have the opportunity to represent Area 11E at the Section 11 All-Star Tournament in mid February.
My child was selected to participate in All-Stars, how do I register him/her?
  • All participants in the All-Star Program (Players, Coaches, etc.) must register online for the FALL ALL-STAR PROGRAM.
  • Parents should log into their AYSO Region 59 account and select the FALL ALL-STAR PROGRAM.
  • Failure to register online by December 1 could result in an invitation to participate, being withdrawn.
  • ONLY those individuals contacted by the Region 59 All-Star Coach should select and register for the All-Star Program.
  • Registering in the All-Star Program DOES NOT register a player for the Spring Select Program. Players and Volunteers MUST register for each of the respective programs individually.
  • Registration fees for the All-Star Program are non-refundable.
